Common questions
Legum & Norman, an Associa© company, serves communities throughout Washington D.C., Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia, including a strong presence in the coastal markets of Ocean City, MD and Bethany Beach, DE.
Legum & Norman manages the full range of community types, including single-family HOAs, condominiums, townhomes, high-rise condominiums, master-planned communities, and mixed-use developments. The team focuses on large-scale HOAs and condo associations in the Washington D.C. Metro area, along with coastal association communities in the Delaware and Maryland beach markets.
Management fees at Legum & Norman are custom-quoted for each community rather than based on a flat or tiered schedule, since pricing depends on the specific needs, size, and location of your association. Reach out for a quote tailored to your community.
Because every management agreement is tailored to the community, what's included in the base fee versus billed as an add-on is worked out individually based on your association's needs. Reach out directly to go over what would be included for your community.
Legum & Norman's team handles the day-to-day work of running your community, including vendor management, maintenance oversight, financial administration, and support with covenant enforcement, while your HOA board continues to make the community's key decisions. The team's role is to provide financial reporting, operational expertise, and strategic guidance so the board can make informed choices with confidence.
Legum & Norman's transition process runs in phases. Early on, the team reviews your community's financials, governing documents, past meeting minutes, and vendor contracts, and sets up compliance and violation tracking. From there, the team inventories facilities and assets, establishes annual calendars, completes software and process training, and conducts initial property inspections. Once onboarding wraps up, the board evaluates the assigned community manager and residents are invited onto the resident portal.
Yes, Legum & Norman emphasizes ongoing professional development for its team, with staff pursuing industry certifications and designations as part of their training.
